As painful as it is, I love to write. Most of my professional career has involved the written word. Technical writer, editor, ad copy writer, scriptwriter, songwriter, and so on. I also have a product called Life Story Maker which helps folks write their own autobiography.

If you've written for awhile, you know what I mean when I say writing is a struggle. Unlike sane people, writers continually look for better ways to say it. For writers, the reward is not in the journey. Why do we beat ourselves up looking for a better word, a stronger phrase, a tighter sentence? I haven't a clue. Maybe it's a genetic thing. My mother was the same way, and all she wrote during her life was a weekly letter to relatives. I have a lot more to say about this. I think I'll do an article on it here. Stay tuned if interested.
